Vivo is readying up for the launch of the new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y100 for the Indian market. The device was spotted on several certification and benchmarking websites recently which had revealed its key specifications. Now, in a recent development, the company now has teased the launch of the Vivo Y100 via its official Twitter handle.
As per the new teaser revealed by Vivo, the Vivo Y100 will come in at least two color options – Rose Gold and Blue. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan will be the brand ambassador for the Vivo Y100. Ahead of the launch, the Chinese smartphone maker also has made a “notify me” alert live on its official website, indicating that its launch is imminent.

Vivo Y100 Specifications (Expected)
Speaking about the Vivo Y100 in detail, the handset had made an appearance on Geekbench, Google Play Console, and BIS certification a couple of days back. The upcoming Vivo Y100 is supposed to flaunt a 6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel is expected to offer HDR10+ support and a 1300 nits brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone is rumoured to ship with an octa-core Dimensity 900 chipset.
The device might come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the phone is also supposed to have microSD card support for storage expansion beyond 128GB. In terms of imaging, the Y100 might boast a 64MP main camera with OIS support. The 64MP sensor might be joined by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP tertiary sensor. For selfies and video-calling purpose, the phone might rely on a 50MP camera. As for the software, the device is tipped to boot Android 13 OS out of the box with the FuntouchOS UI on top. The handset is also supposed to offer 5G support.
Vivo Y100 Price In India (Expected)
As far as the pricing goes, the Vivo Y100 might retail in India for around Rs 27,000. Additionally, chances are that the price could be less than Rs 27,000. The device is also supposed to feature a colour-changing back panel. As for now, the launch date of the device remains unknown. However, now that the company has started releasing the teaser of the Vivo Y100, its launch could happen in India this month.
