Xiaomi 13 Ultra Will One-Up OPPO Find X6 Pro 5G’s Display
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is claimed to offer the brightest display on any smartphone launched so far worldwide. The flagship will launch on April 18. Ahead of the official debut, the Xiaomi China team has revealed that its upcoming flagship will feature C7 light-emitting materials for the display. This will result in the display achieving a peak brightness of 2600 nits. In that case, the 13 Ultra will be 100 nits brighter than the OPPO Find X6 Pro 5G, which offers 2500 nits of peak brightness. The iPhone 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Pro Max are next in line with 2000 nits of peak brightness.
Xiaomi also revealed that the 13 Ultra will sport a 2K display. The device will feature an LTPO panel, which will adjust the screen refresh rate dynamically. It would not be a surprise if the display refreshes between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the on-screen content. The display is also confirmed to be curved towards the edges.
Xiaomi did not reveal the display size of the phone. As per rumours, the phone will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The teasers confirm that there is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the phone for the front camera.
The company has confirmed that the phone’s quad-camera setup will feature a 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 main camera sensor with support for variable aperture. The main camera’s aperture can be set at f/1.9 or f/4.0. In addition to this, the phone will have a 50MP Sony IMX858 ultra-wide camera and two Sony IMX858 50MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 5x optical zoom support.
For selfies, the 13 Ultra is tipped to feature a 32MP front camera. Under the hood, the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is likely to launch with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Xiaomi is likely to pack a 5000mAh battery in the 13 Ultra. The phone is likely to support 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The 13 Ultra will boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will launch in White and Green colours, which will have a leather-like finish on the back.
