Samsung A-series Phones to Get These Galaxy S10 From Next Year: Report

Samsung, as a company, is doing very well around the world. However, in India, it has been trailing behind companies such as Xiaomi and Honor, who provide flagship like hardware and features for half the price.

The Korean manufacturer has been bringing some of its flagship level features, sort of, to its mid-range devices, but that hasn’t been enough to capture the consumer market. Yes, the latest Galaxy J series of phones come with the so-called Infinity Display, but it isn’t anything as close to the Infinity display found on the flagship Galaxy S series.

Samsung has also brought other features such as a dual-camera setup, Face unlock, and Samsung Experience 9.0, to mid-range smartphones. Now, a new report states, that the company is planning on bringing more features to mid-range phones in 2019.

Competitors such as Xiaomi, have been providing great hardware at the same price as Samsung’s mid-range devices. By doing the same, it is possible that Samsung could gain back some market share from the Chinese companies.

Galaxy S10 Features for 2019 Galaxy A Series Smartphones

It is believed that the Galaxy S10 will have an under-display fingerprint sensor, a triple-camera setup, proper 3D facial unlock, bezel-less display, and more. Now, the report states that Samsung will be bringing some of these features to the Galaxy A series phones as well.
The 2019 Galaxy A series phones will bridge the gap between affordable and high-end hardware for Samsung. Of course, the phones will not immediately get these features, as then people would just go for the less expensive A series instead of the high-end phones. And obviously, these features will only be similar, but not the same as the ones found on the S10.
The mid-range Galaxy A series would feature an under-display fingerprint sensor, but it will only be an optical sensor, unlike the rumored ultrasonic-sensor on the Galaxy S10. This is still a great feature to be present in a mid-range phone. Apart from that, you can also expect the triple-lens camera setup to be available on the Galaxy A series phones. One of the lenses would be a super-wide angle lens, which will attract customers towards the mid-range devices.
This would mean that Samsung will be able to sell more mid-range phones, and compete against the other Chinese manufacturers. It would also lead to better flagship smartphone sales, as people would be more interested in the brand. Now, to make a cheaper smartphone, Samsung will most likely be looking at Chinese component makers to reduce costs, and that’s okay. This will allow the company to provide flagship like features on the mid-range devices, making budget users happier. And that is where the money is in most markets.
Wouldn’t you like it if Samsung started selling the Galaxy A series phones with an in-display fingerprint sensor, triple lens camera, wireless-charging, and more?
