Mi Band 3 Custom Version to Launch at ChinaJoy on August 3 Alongside Mi Notebook 2018

Xiaomi has announced the custom version of Mi Band 3, dubbed ‘Are You OK’ to be launched at ChinaJoy on August 3. The company will also be unveiling Mi Notebook 2018 along with the custom variant of the wristband that will have the letters “Are You OK?” printed on it.

Apart from a different wristband with “Are you OK?” in print, the features and specifications of the custom Xiaomi Mi Band 3 remain unchanged. The wearable has recently got a night mode feature added to it. The wearable will be launched at ChinaJoy along with the much-anticipated gaming notebook from Xiaomi, the Mi Notebook 2018. The event happens 3 days from now, on August 3.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook is a gaming Notebook from the company. The device boasts a 15.6-inch screen and comes with Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics processor, the Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, along with a hard disk storage of up to 1TB. For connectivity, the options on the device include a 3.5mm audio jack, the USB-C port, USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, among the other required capabilities. Overall, there are a total of 10 ports placed ergonomically on the notebook.

Furthermore, there is a hotkey turbo cooling, Sony high-resolution certified audio, Dolby sound, a 30 n-key rollover bundled with a professional gaming keyboard. The smaller sibling of the device packs smaller Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. In China, the price range of the laptops goes from Yuan 5,999 to Yuan 8,999. This translates the price of the laptop to approximately Rs. 90,000 for the Indian fans.

The device packs decent features for a reasonable price tag. The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 uses a  0.78-inch OLED screen with a pixel density of 193 PPI. The wearable supports 5ATM waterproof level and can be worn normally during swimming and bathing. The main unit has LED detection lights at the bottom that can be used for heartbeat detection. For power, the Xiaomi Mi band 3 is powered by a 110 mAh cell. You can pair it to your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. Furthermore, there is no need to have a Xiaomi Mi phone for the band to connect, as the wearable syncs data to the Mi-Fit app which can is available for all Android device.

Apart from all the features that, the device comes in a slim packaging that makes it look premium. Also, the wearable is touted to last for 20-day for a full charge of the battery. The design of the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is pretty much similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. The strap of the device is also detachable like that in its predecessor. However, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 comes with significant improvements as the in terms of display and other functionalities. The device offers a larger screen and it also comes with an effective touchscreen functionality. The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 standard variant of the device starts at Rs. 3,490. The company has also confirmed a new feature called Night Mode for the Xiaomi Mi Band 3. The Night Mode feature is expected to add to the battery efficiency of the wearable but might compromise the visuals of the band.

Xiaomi will be unveiling both the custom variant of the Xiaomi Band Mi 3 and the gaming notebook at the same event on August 3.
