Sony is all set to make a few important announcements at the IFA Berlin later next month. The Japanese OEM is expected to launch two of its new smartphones at the mega event, which includes the Sony Xperia XZ3 and the Sony Xperia XA3. Now, the latter has made its way to Chinese certification website TENAA, thereby confirming the news of the impending launch.
The Sony Xperia XA3 is reportedly the successor of the last year’s Xperia XA2. It would be a mid-range offering from the brand, and would naturally be placed below its flagship Xperia XZ range. The alleged smartphone comes with a model no Sony H4413, and it’s this model no that appears on all certification websites. Previously, the upcoming Sony Xperia XA3 aka. Sony H4413 made an appearance on the Eurasian certification website.
Sony Xperia XA3: Specifications, Features
Neither of the listings fails to reveal any concrete details regarding the internal specifications of the smartphone. All that we know so far from the TENAA listing is that the alleged Xperia XA3 smartphone comes LTE support and Android OS on board. With that said, we can expect TENAA to update its website in due time with the detailed specifications of the upcoming Sony smartphone.
A recent report by a Japanese tipster reveals the smartphone to feature a tall 18:9 display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. The predecessor of the Xperia XA3, on the other hand, came with a 5.2 inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080p) IPS LCD display with a standard 16:9 panel. The presence of the all-new display tech on the upcoming Xperia XA3 makes us believe that the smartphone will probably have markedly thinner bezels, especially on its forehead and chin. Previous Xperia devices were notorious for a large amount of bezels surrounding their displays.
Internally, the Sony Xperia XA3 is expected to come with updated specifications with the major changes being in the processor and the RAM department. The last generation Xperia apparently features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU. Besides, it had 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Moreover, a leaked render of the upcoming Xperia XA3 seems to confirm the absence of a dual camera setup on the upcoming smartphone. As for the software, the Sony Xperia XA3 is rumored to be among the first few devices to launch with Android P out of the box.
Sony Xperia XA3: Availability, Launch Date
The Xperia XA3 is rumored to be announced next month at Sony’s IFA launch event in Berlin. The event will act as a platform for Sony to showcase a wide range of electronics products, and the all-new smartphone is expected to be among them. Sony has scheduled this event on August 30.
So far, it seems that the Xperia XA3 will be available in most of Sony’s international markets. Already the TENAA listing confirms Sony’s plan to launch the smartphone in China. Besides, the listing of the alleged smartphone on the Eurasian certification website makes us believe that the Sony H4413 would end up making its way to at least one country governed by the certification body, if not all, which includes the likes of Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. Furthermore, the Sony Xperia XA3 will reportedly launch in India and US too. With that said, no information is known regarding the international rollout of the smartphone yet.
