Huawei sub-brand Honor recently brought out the Honor 9N smartphone for the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 11,999, the Honor 9N is aimed at the budget segment. However, it looks like Honor is not stopping its launch spree anytime soon as the company is now planning to launch the Honor Play smartphone in India. And reportedly, the Honor Play will be launched in India as an Amazon exclusive smartphone for online sales. While the phone is supposed to debut soon, we already know its specifications and features as it is already on sale in China. In a nutshell, the GPU Turbo tech enhances or optimises the graphics performance on the phone by removing performance lags and other barriers between phone’s GPU hardware and the software running on the front. Huawei claims that its GPU Turbo tech revolutionises the conventional graphics processing framework at the downside layer of the system. Besides, the phone also includes a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to ensure seamless AI computing under the hood.

In China, the starting price of the Honor Play for the 4GB RAM variant is CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 21,000) and CNY 2,399 (approx. Rs. 25,100) for the 6GB RAM variant. The phone was launched in Black, Blue, and Violet colour options.

The phone will be launched on August 6 in India. We can expect it to be priced lower than its China pricing.
