Honor Note 10 Launch Event Starts: Watch Live Streaming, Live Updates As it Happens

Honor is all set to reveal its latest flagship, the Honor Note 10 at its launch event taking place in China today. The Note 10 will be the immediate successor to the Huawei sub-brands Note 8 which came out two years ago. Numerous leaks in the past have already given us a fair idea of what to expect with this new phablet. The complete specs list and final pricing shall be confirmed at today’s event.

Honor is going to unveil the Note 10 at its event taking place in Beijing, China. For Indian viewers, the event would be taking place at 12 PM IST (noon). Honor Note 10: Expected Specifications, Features

Leaks in the past have confirmed that the Honor Note 10 would feature a glass and metal build similar to the one found on the Honor 10 (review). However, there will be a significantly larger display on this phablet. This would be a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen that is expected to offer a 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9. Th Honor will likely equip this phone with the same Octa-core Kirin 970 processor we have seen on its other recent flagships. A 6GB and an 8GB RAM variant are expected to be offered. These would be coupled with 64/128/256/512 GB of internal storage. Further storage is also expected to be offered, but it would be via a hybrid SIM + microSD card tray.

The primary camera setup on the back of the Note 10 is going to be comprised of a 16MP + 24MP setup. Various AI enhancements are expected to be featured here which would make the camera exceptional at low-light photography and videography. Furthermore, 4K video recording at 30fps, slow-motion video capture and other such features are expected to arrive here. Then we have the front camera which is likely to measure 16MP. This will come with AI beauty mode and bokeh effects along with the added ability of face unlock. This should work alongside the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

As for software, we would be surprised if Honor loads the device with anything other than Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 skin running on top. The standard list of connectivity includes 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM slots, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n. As for the battery, a recent leak confirmed that the phone would feature a massive 5000mAh cell.

Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition

A recent leak gave us our first look at a special Rolls Royce edition of the Honor Note 10. In terms of specifications, the phone is expected to be the same as the standard version except for the minor changes on the exterior such as the Rolls Royce logo at the back and the phone’s colour. We also think that the highest 8GB RAM + 512GB storage combo will only be offered in this version of the device.

Honor Note 10: Expected Price, Availability

So far, there hasn’t been any concrete evidence that points us to the final pricing of the device just yet. But based on the pricing of the Honor 10 which shares close to the same specifications as this phone, we think the pricing of the Note 10 could start somewhere around the Rs.35,000 mark. The price will obviously go up for the higher storage variants. The Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce edition should be priced around the Rs.40,000 price point.
