OnePlus 6T Mega Unboxing Event in India Sets A New Guinness World Records Title

In a mega event held in Mumbai yesterday, on November 01, OnePlus created a Guinness World Records title for the largest gathering of people unboxing a device simultaneously.  That is a smart approach to launch and promo events, and smarter still when it comes to bagging a world record. The brand has hence, lived up to its name, as it has been noted and loved for its out-of-the-box approach to smartphone making.

The launch of the OnePlus 6T came amidst much hype, but the Chinese brand isn’t done promoting its latest device yet. In a press release issued later, the company confirmed that the Guinness World Record attempted in Mumbai was successful, with a confirmation coming from the global authority on record breaking at about 09:30pm last night (November 01).

Key Features Of OnePlus 6T

The OnePlus 6T was launched on October 30, as the company’s latest flagship device and first phone with a waterdrop notch and in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is the successor to the OnePlus 6, which was unveiled in May this year, and carries the same 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display, but with a better screen real estate, thanks to the smaller ‘teardrop’ (or waterdrop) notch. The device also flaunts a new feature called Smart Boost, which improves app cold start speeds by up to 20 percent by storing data from frequently used apps in the phone’s RAM. And while camera hardware is the same, there is a new Nightscape mode for capturing low-light shots with better clarity, less noise, more accurate color reproduction and a better dynamic range.

The OnePlus 6T is available in Midnight Black and Mirror Black colors. It packs a 6GB RAM for its standard model, but with a doubled internal storage of 128GB.
