Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro to Officially Launch in Indonesia on November 6; India Launch Expected Soon

After announcing the Redmi Note 6 Pro in Thailand last month, the brand is now expanding the availability of the device to other major markets. As the name suggests, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is a successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Like its predecessor, this is a mid-range smartphone equipped with the latest hardware. The key highlights of this device are four cameras, display notch, bigger display, and AI-based features. Xiaomi is now planning to launch the Redmi Note 6 Pro in the Indonesian market in the coming days. There is a high chance that the device may hit the Indian market soon after.

Redmi Note 6 Pro to launch in Indonesia on November 6

As already mentioned, Xiaomi is planning to launch its latest budget offering in the Indonesian market. The brand posted a tweet on its official Indonesian account, revealing the launch date. The tweet shows the front-top image of the device and reads “Redmi Note 6 Pro” with the launch date of November 06, 2018. The Indonesian launch event isn’t that far. There is no information on which storage variant will make its way into the country. Like Thailand, the device might launch with a single storage variant.

To Recall, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display having an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. As usual, the device comes with Corning Gorilla glass protection but the version is unspecified. The device has an 86 percent screen-to-body ratio, thanks to fewer bezels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard memory. In terms of optics, it has a dual camera setup at the back with 12MP + 5MP sensors and dual camera setup at the front with 20MP + 2MP camera sensors. The smartphone does have AI-related capabilities inbuilt. All of this runs on a large 4000mAh battery and MIUI on top of Android.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro going global, Indian launch next?

Since the Redmi Note 6 Pro has already started going global, it is safe to assume its arrival to India is imminent. In addition, Xiaomi has to refresh its budget segment lineup for the Indian market. On another note, Xiaomi is also expected to bring its Mi 8 Lite device to the Indian market. Both the devices fall under the budget segment which increases their chance of arrival in the country. Further adding to the story, an unofficial teaser recently started making rounds on the internet. The unofficial leaked poster reads “Flagship Camera Killer” with the Indian launch date.

Actually, the poster teases the launch for November but does not reveal the date completely. There is no confirmation as of now whether that poster is real or not. If we consider this leaked poster, the brand will launch the device sometime this month which actually is quite likely. Furthermore, based on one of our previous reports, the device is expected to hit the Indian shore in two variants– 4GB/64GB and 6/64GB storage options. In addition, the report mentions the availability of four different colors: Blue, Red, Black and Rose Gold. Speaking of pricing, the base variant is expected to set you back at INR 14,999 while the 6GB variant might come with a price tag of INR 16,999.
