Samsung launched the Galaxy A30 in India alongside the Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A50 smartphones last month. Positioned between the Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A50, the Galaxy A30 competes against smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme 2 Pro, and Samsung’s own Galaxy M30. Samsung is now set to launch the Red color variant of the smartphone in India next week. While the company did announce a Red color variant of the Galaxy A30 at the time of its formal launch last month, only the Black and Blue color variants have been made available so far.
Samsung Galaxy A30 Red Color Variant Releasing on April 2
The Samsung Galaxy A30 Red color variant will finally go on sale in India starting April 2. Apart from the different color, however, the Galaxy A30 Red variant will be identical to the existing Blue and Black color variants in all other aspects. A landing page for the upcoming color variant is now live on Flipkart’s website, which confirms the Galaxy A30 Red variant will be available for purchase on Flipkart on the very first day of its launch. While it has not been confirmed officially just yet, we expect the Red color variant to be available via offline retailers as well starting next week. Apart from Flipkart, the Red color variant of the Galaxy A30 has been listed on the Reliance Digital website as well for INR 16,990. Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy M-series, the Galaxy A-series phones are sold via both online and offline retail channels.
Samsung Galaxy A30 Specifications
Just like other Galaxy A-series smartphones released this year, the Galaxy A30 is a significant step-up when compared to the company’s previous generation A-series phones. The smartphone sports a large 6.4-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 7904 octa-core chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory. It also supports further expansion up to 512GB, thanks to a dedicated microSD card slot. On the back of the phone is a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera setup along with a fingerprint sensor. Housed within the U-shaped notch on the front is a 16MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh non-removable battery with 15W fast charging support. Unlike the Galaxy M30, the Galaxy A30 ships with Samsung’s latest One UI based on Android 9.0 Pie.
