Vivo V15 First Sale Date is April 1 on Amazon and Flipkart, Should You Prefer It Over OPPO F11 Pro?

Close on the heels of the launch of Vivo V15 Pro (review) in India, the Chinese smartphone maker launched the more affordable V15 in the country last week. The vanilla V15 has the same pop-up camera design as the V15 Pro but is slightly less impressive when it comes to hardware specifications. Vivo’s latest mid-range smartphone is set to go on sale in India for the first time on April 1. Is Vivo’s latest mid-range offering worth your hard-earned cash? Or should you go with the OPPO F11 Pro instead? Before we discuss the differences between the Vivo V15 and OPPO F11 Pro, here’s everything that you need to know about the first Vivo V15 sale on April 1.

Vivo V15 Set to Go on Sale in India on April 1

The Vivo V15 has been priced at INR 23,990 in India. It will be available for purchase starting April 1 via Vivo India’s online store, Amazon.in, Flipkart, PayTM Mall, Tata CLiQ, as well as offline retailers across the country. Pre-booking offers include benefits worth INR 10,000 from Reliance Jio, one-time free screen replacement, 5% cashback on SBI debit and credit cards, and extra INR 2,000 discount on exchange. In addition to these, customers can avail No Cost EMI with Bajaj Finserv and all major credit cards. Just like the V15 Pro, the vanilla V15 is also available in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Color options include Frozen Black and Glamour Red.

Vivo V15 or OPPO F11 Pro: Which One Should You Get?

The Vivo V15 and OPPO F11 Pro are surprisingly similar in many aspects. Both smartphones come with a pop-up camera design, attractive gradient colors, and MediaTek’s 12nm Helio P70 octa-core processor. While the V15 features a 6.53-inch Ultra FullView display with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution, the OPPO F11 Pro has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with the same Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Moving on to imaging, the Vivo V15 has a 12MP + 8MP + 5MP triple-camera setup at the rear and a 32MP resolution selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. OPPO F11 Pro features a dual-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor and a 5MP depth-sensing camera for portrait shots. For selfies, the F11 Pro has a 16MP rising camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Another area where the two phones are identical is battery life. They both have a 4000mAh battery and come with fast charging support. Some of the other similarities include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and the lack of a USB Type-C port. Both phones run on Android 9 Pie OS out of the box with the manufacturer’s custom skin on top.

As is quite clear, the Vivo V15 and F11 Pro are very similar to each other in nearly every area. However, if camera performance is your main priority, then I would suggest spending the additional INR 1,000 for the OPPO F11 Pro. Selfie fanatics, on the other hand, will be slightly happier with the Vivo V15.
