The Sony PS5 releases starting November 12. As Sony gears up for the release, it is prepping the services it offers with the PlayStation platform. The latest development in this area is that Sony has now updated the PlayStation App for Android and iOS. The new update brings a ton of new features, including a fresh design, voice chat, PlayStation Store integration, and more!
The PS App had been stagnant for a while now, and the feature set was not very impressive. Sony announced the newly updated app with a video trailer showcasing the new feature additions. Take a look at the trailer:

The most striking change is the brand new design. The user experience has been refined a lot, and the new home screen makes the app a pleasure to use, with easy access to all the features.
The new update adds features that focus on connectivity and social. The PS App now has the game party function built-in, with messaging and voice chat with PSN contacts and up to 15 people allowed for the latter.
The PS App now also has the PlayStation Store integrated. You can browse the store, pre-order and purchase new games from the PS App now. You also get the news feature from the PS Store built-in.
Not only can you buy games, but you can also download them remotely to your PS5 through the PS App. The app will now let users manage the storage on their PS5 in case you run out of storage while downloading a game remotely. PS Remote Play is also available when connected to Wi-Fi. The Xbox App also got an update recently, enabling remote play.
The updated PS app is now available to download on the iOS App Store, and on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for more updates leading up to the PS5 launch.
