Following the footsteps of incumbent telcos like Vodafone-Idea and Airtel, Reliance Jio has also increased its tariffs by 40% which however are 25% cheaper than its competitors. The carrier has already revealed the price hikes for it popular plans a couple of days back but plans for its JioPhone just went live today on its official website. All the new plans by Jio will be effective for customers starting today, i.e. December 6.
Best Jio Phone All-in-One Recharge Plans in 2021
According to the new tariffs, the new all-in-one plans for JioPhone comes in four rates priced at ₹75 (0.1GB/day + 50 SMS), ₹125 (0.5GB/day + 300 SMS), ₹155 (1GB/day + 100 SMS/day), and ₹185 (2GB/day + 100 SMS/day) respectively with 28 days validity. All these plans come with 500 IUC (Interconnect Usage Charge) minutes for non-Jio calls. Before we go into the detailed benefits of the plans, here is the list of all Jio Phone recharge plans.

Jio Phone Rs. 75 Recharge Plan Details
Rs 75 Jio Phone recharge plan is the cheapest all-in-one plan. It sort of competes with the old Rs 49 plan. It offers 0.1GB high-speed data per day and 500 minutes of non-Jio voice calling for 28 days. It also has unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline voice calls as well as 50 SMS messages.
In comparison, the old Rs. 49 Jio Phone plan offers 1GB of total high-speed data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline voice calls, and 50 SMS messages. Note how this plan excludes non-Jio voice calls. This means that you need to separately purchase one of the available IUC top-up vouchers that are valued between Rs. 10 and Rs. 100 to avail off-net calling minutes.
Jio Phone Rs. 125 Recharge Plan Details
For an added Rs 25, this JioPhone plan that is priced at Rs 125 offers 0.5GB data per day and 500 minutes of non-Jio voice calls. The plan additionally brings unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline voice calls and 300 SMS messages with a validity of 28 days.

Jio Phone Rs 153 Recharge Plan Details
Reliance Jio has introduced a Rs 153 prepaid plan for JioPhone users. The pack comes with a host of interesting features. To start with, it offers 1.5GB of data per day. The pack comes with a validity of 28 days and this brings total data to 42GB. The recharge plan also offers 100 SMS per day along with unlimited Jio to Jio voice calls. However, for non-Jio numbers, customers need to make a top-up voucher that starts from Rs 10 and goes up to Rs 1,000.
Jio Phone Rs. 155 Recharge Plan Details
The Rs 155 JioPhone recharge plan essentially doubles the amount of data offered on the previous plan. But it gives 100 SMS messages compared to 300 on the Rs 125 plan. The voice call benefits are exactly the same as the previous one.
Jio Phone Rs. 185 Recharge Plan Details
Rs 185 JioPhone recharge plan is a new offering that doesn’t have an equivalent competition in existing old plans. It offers 2GB of data per day, 500 minutes of non-Jio voice calling, unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline calls, and 100 SMS messages per day for 28 days.

Old Jio Phone Recharge Plans
The telco also offers three different 0.5GB/day plans priced at ₹99, ₹297, ₹594 for 28, 84, and 168 days of validity respectively. Since Airtel and Vodafone Idea were ordered by the Indian Supreme Court to pay off their adjusted gross revenue(AGR) debts of ₹89,000 crores, the carries decided to hike their prices to improve their average revenue per user(ARPU). And hence, Reliance Jio also joined this bandwagon as its own ARPU fell for seven quarters straight.
Reliance Jio is the most popular carrier in India, all thanks to their aggressive pricing and offerings which changed the whole telecom sector of the country. Due to Jio, the small-scale telcos that initially operated in the country vanished while the big ones like Airtel, Vodafone and Idea remained, out of which, the last two merged their businesses in 2018.
Analysts estimate Reliance Jio’s ARPU to increase over ₹140 by the end of Q4 2020, down from ₹120 in Q3 2019.
