POCO M3 India Unit Will Feature 6GB of RAM, Flipkart Availability Confirmed

POCO India is gearing up to launch POCO M3 smartphone in the country. The smartphone is scheduled to launch on 2nd February at 12:00 PM. Now, ahead of the launch POCO has officially confirmed that the POCO M3 will land in India in a 6GB RAM variant only. This is something that we were expecting since Redmi already has its Redmi 9 Power with similar specifications, but that comes only in a 4GB RAM variant. Additionally, POCO has also confirmed that the Indian variant of the POCO M3 will come with UFS 2.1/2.2 storage similar to the global variant.

We can expect the 64GB storage variant of the POCO M3 to feature UFS 2.1 storage, while the 128GB variant should get UFS 2.2 storage. Similar to other POCO smartphones, the POCO M3 will also be a Flipkart exclusive.

POCO M3 Features and Specifications

The POCO M3 features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a 1080×2340 resolution resulting in a 395ppi pixel density. It is a 19.5:9 aspect ratio that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. POCO M3 comes with Widevine L1 certification and features a waterdrop notch. The rear panel of the smartphone features an anti-fingerprint texture.

Under-the-hood, the smartphone sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, built on a 11nm fabrication process. The Snapdragon 662 gets coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1/2.2 internal storage. On the software side, the device boots Android 10 based MIUI 12 for POCO out of the box.

Coming to the optics, the device features s a 48MP triple-rear camera setup. The 48MP primary sensor on the smartphone gets accompanied by a 2MP macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is an 8MP shooter with an f/2.05 aperture for the selfies.

The POCO M3 packs a beefy 6,000mAh battery with support for up to 18W fast-charging over a USB Type-C charging port. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
