Redmi 8, Redmi 8A Now Receiving MIUI 12 Stable Update in India

Xiaomi recently completed MIUI 12 stable roll-out for its Redmi 9 series devices. Now, the company has started rolling out MIUI 12 Stable update for entry-level Redmi 8A, and Redmi 8 smartphones in India. The MIUI 12 update for these smartphones also brings January Android security patch. Redmi 8A MIUI 12 update comes with version MIUI V12.0.1.0.QCPINXM, while the Redmi 8 is receiving MIUI 12 update with version V12.0.1.0.QCNINXM. MIUI 12 brings several new features and changes along with improvements. It brings all-new system animations across the UI, new floating windows for easier multitasking, new control center to name a few. It brings improvements in the security and privacy departments with Hidden Mask Mode, Interceptor, and Flare modes. Apart from these, there is also an all-new dark mode 2.0 on the MIUI 12, that lets you force dark mode on third-party applications as well.

These might be partial roll-outs, so the update might take some time to appear on your device. In the partial roll-out phase, a limited number of users receive the update, and a broader rollout follows a few days later.
