OPPO has teased the launch of Reno5 Pro 5G in India. The company took to Twitter to tease the launch of its upcoming smartphone in India. The teaser does not reveal the exact launch date. However, we can expect the Reno5 Pro 5G to launch in the second half of January. The OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G sits between the Reno 5 and the Reno 5 Pro+ 5G launched in China. We can expect the smartphone to launch in India with the same specifications. This means that the Reno5 Pro 5G could come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000U. OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G is set to make its debut in India very soon. The company’s latest teaser hints at an imminent launch of the smartphone. The teaser does not reveal the exact launch date of the device. However, we can expect it to launch in the second half of January 2021.

The OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G India variant is expected to pack the same specifications as the Chinese model.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G price 

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G price is CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs 38,300) for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The 12GB RAM + 256GB model is priced at CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs 42,750). The smartphone is available in Glitter Blue, Aurora Blue, and Midnight Black colour options. 

We can expect the smartphone to launch in India for around Rs 45,000.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G specifications 

The OPPO Reno 5 Pro launched in China comes with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen comes with a 90Hz refresh rate support. It also has a hole-punch cutout for the front camera.

Under the hood, the China variant comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset along with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The smartphone is expected to feature the same chipset in India. The device is available in 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB internal memory options.

In terms of optics, the Reno5 Pro 5G comes with a quad-camera setup at the back. It features a 64MP primary lens with an aperture of f/1.7. There is also an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 119-degree FoV and an f/2.2 aperture. Lastly, there is a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens and a 2MP f/2.4 portrait lens.

The device packs a 4,350 mAh battery with 65W Super Flash Charge support. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G boots on Android 11 with a layer of Color OS 11.1 out of the box.

Connectivity options include 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, dual-SIM, and USB Type-C port.
