POCO X2, M2 Pro and M2 Confirmed to Receive Android 11 Update in a Few Weeks

POCO India has finally revealed Android 11 update timeline for some of the devices. In a recent AskMeAnything session, POCO India, Director, Mr. Anuj Sharma revealed that some of the POCO smartphones will start Android 11 update in the coming weeks. Mr. Sharma confirmed that the POCO X2, POCO M2 Pro, and POCO M2 will receive Android 11 update in the coming weeks. Additionally, he said that POCO X2 Android 11 update is already under the testing phase.

well, one thing is that you’re getting updates. incidentally, the next phone that we are currently testing for the Android 11 update is the X2. While, obviously, X2 is almost now a year old. X2, M2 Pro, and M2 is the sequence that you will look at for getting the Android 11 update and that should be happening within the next few weeks. Maybe by the time when we get to M2, it would be a month or two out.

POCO Android 11 roll-out schedule!

Mr. Sharma didn’t reveal the schedule for all the devices, but he said that POCO X2, POCO M2 Pro, and POCO M2 will soon start receiving Android 11 update. He also confirmed that POCO X2 is going to be the first POCO device to receive Android 11 update, which will be followed by POCO M2 Pro. After POCO M2 Pro, POCO M2 will start receiving Android 11 update.

Going by what Mr. Sharma revealed, we can assume that by mid of March, POCO X2, M2 Pro, and M2 should get Android 11 update. Mr. Sharma did not reveal what all devices will receive Android 11 update, but we can expect the company to roll out Android 11 update for all the devices excluding POCO F1. POCO devices such as POCO X3, and POCO C3 should receive Android 11 update after roll-out for the aforementioned devices gets over.

To those unaware, POCO has already completed MIUI 12 roll-out for all the devices. POCO F1, POCO X2, POCO M2 Pro, and POCO M2 have received MIUI 12 update in last few months, while the POCO X3, and POCO C3 came pre-loaded with MIUI 12 out of the box. POCO M2 Pro’s Redmi counterpart, Redmi Note 9 Pro has already received Android 11 update in the country. Even POCO X2’s Redmi counterpart, Redmi K30 4G, has already received Android 11 Stable update in China.
