Samsung is all set to launch its next-generation of flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S21 series, on January 14th. The company is planning to introduced Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra during the launch event. Now, just ahead of the official launch, the company has slashed the prices of the current Galaxy S20 series in India. The brand has reduced the prices of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G by over Rs 15,000 in the country. Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra Get a Price Cut in India
As per a report by 91mobiles, the company has slashed the prices of Galaxy S20 series by as much as over Rs 15,000 in the offline segment. The Samsung Galaxy S20 was launched at Rs 59,499 for 8GB RAM + 128GB option. After the price cut, the handset is available for purchase at Rs 49,999. Moving on, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus model India price is Rs 56,999 after a massive price cut of Rs 15,991. The smartphone was launched in India for Rs 72,990.
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is now available at a price of Rs 76,999, reflecting a price cut of Rs 10,000. For your information, the handset was previously selling for Rs 86,999. Interestingly, the report notes that the price cut is only meant for the offline segment and there are no changes on the online channels.
The report further adds that the Galaxy S20 series price cuts in India will only be available till January 31st. However, judging by the previous price cuts, one should expect these prices to last indefinitely. It is possible that the company will bring the new prices of the Galaxy S20 to the online stores after it introduces the Galaxy S21 series in India.
Currently, all the major e-commerce platforms are showing the price of Galaxy S20 series the same as they were before the price cut. However, when you go to Samsung e-store, you will find that the Galaxy S20 Plus is available for Rs 54,999. This means that the e-commerce platform from Samsung is currently selling the handset at the lowest price as compared to other platforms and retail stores.
