When the first Black Panther movie from MCU or the Marvel Cinematic Universe released back in 2018 it was enthusiastically received and praised for having a black dominated cast and crew with culture appropriate representation in the movie. And to top it off Chadwick Boseman was hailed as the perfect casting for King T’Challa aka Black Panther. But tragedy followed and Boseman passed away after the release of Avengers: Infinity War due to cancer.

And the question that everyone had was who will replace him as Black Panther in the MCU, but Disney came up with the most respectful solution of retiring T’Challa’s mantle for the time being and have his sister Princess Shuri played by Letitia Wright take over as Black Panther in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The second movie was equally well received as the first one by the people, although critics felt that it still lacked the soul that was present in the 2018 movie.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Now Available to Watch on Disney+ Hotstar

The second movie in the Black Panther lineup from MCU, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever released to worldwide theatrical success on 11 November, 2022. The movie has already managed to mint approximately $837.3 million at the box office which makes it a massive hit. After initial leaks suggesting that the global OTT release of the movie could happen as soon as January 20, Disney officially announced that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar on February 1. The movie is now available in multiple Indian languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. And we presume that the release time on February 1 could be 12:30PM in the afternoon which is when Hotstar usually releases new content.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Plot and Cast

We would not want to spoil the film for those that have not watched it in the theaters but will stick to whatever plot has been revealed in the trailers. We see that T’Challa is ill and is dying, and his sister Princess Shuri is trying to recreate the heart shaped herb to save him. She fails and he dies, but their mother Queen Ramonda implores Shuri to continue her efforts while Wakanda comes to a melee against Namor and the Atlanteans.

Ryan Coogler returns as the director of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and the cast from the first film also returns to essay their roles. Besides Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther the movie stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Angela Bassett.
