OnePlus 11R is set to debut on February 7 in India. The company confirmed to launch its new R-series smartphone in India alongside the flagship OnePlus 11 5G. The 11R 5G is expected to launch in China as the OnePlus Ace 2. The company has dropped a couple of teasers, which hint at the design and confirm the processor of the phone. The OnePlus 11R 5G, aka the Ace 2, will get a new design. Unlike the 10R 5G, which came with a flat frame, the 11R 5G will sport a curved frame and back.
Now, a new leak has revealed the rear panel design of the upcoming OnePlus R-series smartphone. According to the leaked render, the OnePlus Ace 2 and 11 5G will feature an almost identical design on the back. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus 11R 5G, aka the Ace 2’s design, specifications and other details known so far.
OnePlus 11R Design Render
The upcoming OnePlus 11R will debut as a successor to the 10R 5G in India. The premium phone is set to launch in India on February 7. Ahead of the launch, the phone’s design has leaked online. According to the leaked design render shared by tipster Ice Universe, the upcoming 11R 5G will sport a circular camera module design. The camera module sits on a part of the frame that extends towards the rear panel. This is similar to the OnePlus 11 5G. There are differences, of course. The 11R 5G does not have the Hasselblad branding, which is exclusive to the 11 5G. The phone also misses out on a telephoto camera sensor.
We can also expect the 11R 5G to feature a plastic frame, as opposed to the 11 5G, which has a metal chassis. The leaked render confirms that the 11R 5G also has an alert slider on the right side, below which is the power button. On the left edge lies the volume rocker.
The front of the phone was revealed via a prototype device, which showed that the 11R 5G has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the display. The screen is curved towards the edges.
We revealed days ago that the phone will launch with a Galactic Silver colour option in India. The device will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It will have at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is likely to get a 16GB RAM option with 256GB of storage as well.
The 11R 5G’s triple-camera setup is expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 or Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor. There will also be an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the 11R 5G will come with a 16MP front camera.
The device is likely to be among the most affordable phones with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The 11R 5G will be priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000 for the base 8GB RAM variant. Its 16GB RAM option is said to be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000.
On the front, there will be a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will have a 1.5K resolution of 2772×1240 pixels. We also expect the phone to run Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13 out of the box in India.
