BSNL Rolls Out Rs. 75 Prepaid Recharge Plan; Offers Unlimited Calling, 10GB Data, and More

State-run telco Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited has rolled out a new prepaid recharge plan with unlimited calling benefits, 10GB data and other incentives. The plan is priced at Rs. 75. The new recharge plan from BSNL is reportedly launched to take on Rs. 98 recharge plan from Reliance Jio.

BSNL Rs. 75 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Details

The BSNL Rs. 75 prepaid recharge plan offers unlimited calling benefits with no FUP limits. However, the free calling is not valid when the users are making a call to mobile numbers in Mumbai and Delhi circles. Along with calling benefits, the plan also packs 10GB of 3G data with no daily caps and 500 free SMSes to consume within the validity period.

BSNL Rs. 75 Recharge Plan: Validity Extension Option

The plan initially comes with a validity of 15 days but interestingly, there is a ‘validity extension’ option where users can recharge with popular STVs and extend the plan validity by up to 6 months. The validity extension option only works with eligible recharge options. If a user recharges with ay recharge plan priced between Rs 98 and Rs 199, the validity will be extended by 90 days. And for prepaid recharge plans worth Rs. 200 and higher, the validity of the plan will be extended by 180 days. The prepaid recharges that are eligible for getting the users a 90 days extension period include Rs 98, Rs 99, Rs 118, Rs 139, Rs 187 and Rs 198 STVs. While for getting an extension of 180 days, users will have to recharge with these plans- Rs 319, Rs 333, Rs 339, Rs 349, Rs 395, Rs 444, Rs 447 or Rs 551 STVs. Also, note that the plan is only valid and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Circle.

Recent Recharge Plans from BSNL

BSNL has recently revised its prepaid recharge plans worth Rs. 155 and Rs 198  to offer more data and the state-run telco also rolled out Rs. 171 plan with 60GB data, which takes a dig at Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and Airtel. The plan offers a total of 60GB data with a daily limit of 2GB data per day along with voice calling and SMS benefits. The plan carries a validity of 30 days. Also, the plan is valid in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle only.

The BSNL plan is in competition with Reliance Jio’s offering priced at Rs 149. The prepaid plan from Reliance Jio comes with a validity of 28 days. The plan offers roaming and unlimited local, national calls with thus plan, Furthermore, the plan also includes 100 free SMS daily. The subscribers also get 1.5GB daily 4G data, and after hitting the FUP limit, speed gets downgraded to 64Kbps till midnight with no extra charge. The prepaid recharge plan also gives the subscribers access to JioTV, JioMusic, JioMovies and other services, which is complimentary with most of the Reliance Jio recharge plans.

Apart from rolling out the new plans, BSNL has revised two of its existing prepaid recharge plans. Under the modified plans, the state-run telco has revised its Rs. 198 and Rs 155 plans to add more data and calling incentives so that subscribers can get more worth of the money they are spending on the recharge. Note that these revised plans are only available for prepaid users in the Tamil Nadu, and Chennai regions, for now. They might get updated across the country soon. The telecom operator is now offering 1.5GB daily data with its Rs 198 plan instead of the previous 1GB daily data limit. The validity of the plan has also been increased from the previous 24 days up to 28 days along with a free “BSNL signature tune” free of cost. However, the users will have to pay for a caller tune if need to switch to something other than the default signature tune from the telecom operator. To get more information on both the plans, you can tune into the “C-Top-Up” web portal and recharge with STV 198 or STV 155 and get the extra benefits. BSNL has also revised its high-end broadband plans recently. The telecom operator is working on its data game to retain the customer base and attract new ones.
