Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL Sale in India Starts on Flipkart; Here’s What You Need to Know

Google’s third-generation Pixel smartphones, which were unveiled last month at its ‘Made by Google’ event in New York City, are finally on sale in India. The two smartphones were made available for pre-order on Flipkart just a few days after their global debut. Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL can be now be purchased online from Flipkart. You can also find the two flagship Android smartphones at select offline stores near you. Both smartphones come with dual selfie cameras and a few other cool new features.

Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL Launch Offers on Flipkart

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL (review) smartphones come in two storage variants – 64GB and 128GB. While the Pixel 3 64GB storage variant is priced at INR 71,000, the 128GB storage variant costs INR 80,000. Google Pixel 3 XL is priced at INR 83,000 for the 64GB storage variant and INR 92,000 for the 128GB storage variant. Color options include Not Pink, Clearly White, and Just Black.

Flipkart is offering up to INR 17,900 off on exchange on all variants of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. On select models, customers can avail extra INR 6,000 over the standard exchange value. HDFC Bank debit and credit card holders can get a flat 5% cashback on EMI transactions. Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders can get a 10% discount on the smartphones, although the maximum discount per card is capped at just INR 400. Flipkart is also offering No Cost EMI option on all leading credit cards. For an additional INR 199, you can get flat 50% Buyback value when you exchange your Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL within 8 months of purchase.

If you own an older Pixel and Nexus smartphone, you can get a free Google Home Mini smart speaker if you purchase the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL from select offline stores. However, the offer is valid only till November 07, so you will need to hurry. Apart from the Google Home Mini offer, Google is also offering 5% cashback on EMI transactions made using HDFC Bank credit and debit card, Citibank credit card, RBL credit card, or BFL super cards at select offline stores. The cashback offer will be valid till November 30.

Should You Buy the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL?

With a starting price of INR 71,000, the latest Pixel smartphones from Google are more expensive than most other Android flagships available in India currently. In terms of hardware specifications, however, the third-generation Pixel smartphones are certainly not best-in-class. The smaller Pixel 3 features a 5.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, smaller in size than pretty much every other Android flagship released this year. It packs a 2915mAh capacity battery, which is again on the smaller side when compared to other 2018 Android flagships. Google Pixel 3 XL, however, comes with a larger 6.3-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and packs a 3430mAh battery. Both the smartphones run on an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM. For a lower price than the 64GB Pixel 3, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The 8GB RAM + 512GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note 9 (review) is priced lower than the 128GB storage variant of the Pixel 3 XL. You can also consider the OnePlus 6T, which also goes on sale in India for the first time today. It starts at INR 37,999 for the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage, making it significantly more affordable than the Pixel 3 smartphones.
