Infinix Mobility, the Chinese smartphone brand owned by Transsion Holdings has announced a new budget handset called the Infinix Hot 9 in Indonesia. We had previously reported about this handset being readied for sale in the country. Back then, however, only bits and pieces about the specifications of the handset was available. Today, since the phone has been officially announced in that country, we have complete details around it.

Infinix Hot 9 Specifications
The Infinix Hot 9 is a budget device that comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. This is an entry-level chipset with an octa-core chipset that gets a processor with eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores in two clusters. This SoC also houses the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It also comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The phone supports dual SIM cards and also gets a triple slot that can take two SIM cards and one microSD card. The handset also gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone runs Infinix’s own custom UI called XOS 6.0 which is based on Android 10. The Infinix Hot 9 gets a large 5,000 mAh battery and comes with a standard 10w charger.
The Infinix Hot 9 gets a 6.6-inch display with HD+ resolution. The display also gets a punch hole at the front for housing the 8MP front-facing camera. At the rear, the phone gets quad-camera setup that consists of a 16MP primary camera, and two 2MP cameras mated to a fourth depth-sensing camera.
Infinix Hot 9 Price, Expected India launch
Indonesia seems to be among the first countries where Infinix has launched the new Infinix Hot 9. The phone will also be launched in several African countries where Infinix has a sizable presence. As for India, there is a good chance that the phone will officially make it to India. The company has launched almost all of its Hot series of handsets in the country and there is no reason for them to not launch this handset in the country. That being said, the launch could see a delay due to the ongoing coronavirus scare.
