Realme Band Features, Design and Color Options Revealed Ahead of Launch, Hate-to-Wait Sale on March 5

After launching the Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone in India, Realme is gearing up for the launch of its brand new Realme 6 series of smartphones. That said, the company has been hyping the launch of its first-ever fitness band for many days. The Realme Band (yes, that’s the name of the first fitness band from Realme) will launch in India alongside the Realme 6 lineup of smartphones on March 5, 2020. Ahead of the launch, the company’s official website posted a bunch of promotional images of the fitness band, which gave us an idea about its key specifications and design. Furthermore, the company has announced that the Realme Band will be available on a Hate-to-Wait sale on the launch date itself.

Realme Band: Everything We Know So Far

As mentioned, interested buyers can book their Realme Band unit on the launch date (March 5) itself. Looking at the promotional pictures, we can see that the Realme Band will come with a ‘large color display’. Whether or not the display will be OLED is anyone’s guess as of now. Moving on, the Realme Band will be available in three color schemes – Yellow, Black, and Olive Green.

The Realme Band intends to woo fitness enthusiasts out there, or at least the company’s ‘Leap to a Fitter Lifestyle’ points towards the same. The band will come equipped with a real-time heart rate monitor. Plus, the Realme Band will comprise of 9 sport modes – bike, run, walk, hiking, climbing, Yoga, fitness, Spinning, and Cricket. Why did we write Cricket in a bold font? Well, the Realme Band will sport a dedicated cricket mode which, as per the company, is ‘specially made for India’. The functionality of this tailored mode is unknown for now. The band is IP68 water resistant, so you can partner with it while having a swim without worrying about damaging it.

Adding to the list of features, the Realme Band will come with a sleep quality monitor, which will monitor the user’s sleeping habits, such as deep sleep, light sleep, and their respective proportions. While there is no mention of it, we can safely assume that all this data will be synchronized with your smartphone with the help of the recently unveiled Realme Link app. What’s more? The Realme Band features the usual notification functionality found on other fitness trackers already available in the market. Hanging up on a phone call requires a double press on the screen, you can receive WhatsApp chat notifications, SMS alerts, and alarms.

As far as charging is concerned, the Realme Band can be charged over a standard USB port without having to worry about finding a cable to do the same. You can plug it in and charge it.

For now, this is all we know about the Realme Band, but since the launch date is not too far from now, we won’t have to wait for too long to receive further intel on the same.
