PUBG Ban: We Can Still Download and Play PUBG Mobile, Is PUBG Violating Indian Govt. Order?

The Indian government has recently banned a series of Chinese app including the PUBG Mobile disappointing a population of gamers in the country. The ban removed the online multiplayer battleground from Google Play Store and Apple App store restrict everyone from downloading and playing the game.

However, the PUBG servers are still working and the users who are already having the game installed on their smartphones can play, but they will not receive any updates from the servers. However, there’s a catch if you really want to play the game.

PUBG

Recently, I have received ASUS ROG Phone 3 and I was trying the different game on the smartphone as it is meant for hardcore gaming. I played around 5 to 6 games including the Call of Duty: Mobile, Among US, F1 racing, Asphalt 9, Mini Football, and more. Due to PUBG Mobile ban in India was unable to download and play the game to test the gameplay on the phone. Moreover, I was not ready to go for the VPN option because the mixture of server surges the ping rating and ultimately you can’t enjoy the gameplay to the most.

Still, I was trying to search for some legal way to play the game with the latest update which brings Erangel 2.0 map. Finally, my search came to an end and I find a way to download the game legally without the help of any third-party app store. Here are the steps you can follow to install the PUBG Mobile: New Era on your smartphone and enjoy the gameplay with the latest update.

How to Download PUBG Mobile on Your Smartphone

  • In order to download the game on your phone first, you need to head to the browser app on your device.
  • Now you need to open the official PUBG Mobile website http://www.pubgmobile.com
  • At the very beginning of the page, you can see an option which reads “APK Download”
  • Click on the option and the APK will start downloading on your smartphone
  • Once the download is done you can install the game on your phone.
  • While installing, your phone might seek permission for installing the APK.
  • Once the game is installed you can fire up the game and play with the latest update.

Also do note that the APK file size is 672MB, but it will take 1.55GB of storage so make sure you have enough space. I have installed and played the game on ASUS ROG Phone 3 and during the gameplay, I haven’t faced any issues like lagging, and server drop.

The gameplay experience was pretty smooth like it was never banned in India. But the only flaw is that you need to install the latest APK manually every time the PUBG Corps releases a new update. So this is how you can still download the PUBG Mobile and play it. I have also attached a gameplay video for your better understanding.

Is PUBG Violating Indian Government Order?

If you think why PUBG Mobile is still working and why the company is not restricting the servers then let me tell you that the PUBG Mobile server is a global server and they don’t have any specific India server. If you ever played PUBG Mobile then you must have noticed that there are servers like Asia, America, Europe, and KRJP. There is no India server which means that PUBG Corps can’t remove the server specially for India.

Considering this we can say that the company is not violating any orders from the government. The website is also a global website, so if the Indian government really wants to band the game properly then they must band the sites as well. However, the game was banned in India because it was associated with the Chinese gaming firm Tencent Games,  but after the ban, the PUBG Corps broke ties from the company as well.
