Xiaomi is working on launching another smartphone in the Xiaomi 13 series. The company launched the Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone in India. Tipster Ice Universe had tipped that Xiaomi would the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone globally. Another tipster revealed that the event might be scheduled for May 2023. An alleged poster on Weibo claimed that Xiaomi might launch the smartphone in China on April 17. Previously, the smartphone was listed in China’s 3C certification, revealing its fast charging capabilities. Various tipsters also tipped the specifications of the device. Ahead of the launch, 91Mobiles has spotted the 13 Ultra smartphone in IMDA certification.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Tipped Specifications
The listing in Singapore’s IMDA confirms that the device would launch globally, unlike its predecessor Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The IMDA listing revealed that the smartphone would bear the model number 2304FPN6DG. The listing also reveals that the device would bring support for 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Apart from this, the IMDA listing doesn’t reveal any other smartphone specifications.
Previously, the 3C listing of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra revealed that it would support 90W fast wired charging tech. The 90W fast charging tech is a downgrade from Xiaomi 13 Pro’s 120W fast charging tech. The smartphone is also tipped to support wireless and reverse wireless charging tech. The upcoming device is tipped to continue the camera module design seen in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone.
The device is said to be the most premium smartphone from Xiaomi in 2023. The upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra will sport the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC found on the vanilla 13 and 13 Pro smartphones. The chipset would pair with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi will equip the device with a large 6.7 inches AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution. The display would support LTPO technology with refresh rates between 1 to 120Hz.
The difference between the Pro variant would lie in the optics department. The upcoming smartphone is said to sport a quad rear camera setup instead of a triple rear camera setup on Xiaomi 13 Pro. Xiaomi will equip the smartphone with a 50MP Sony IMX 989 sensor with a 1” sensor size and OIS. The setup would also consist of a secondary 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a tertiary 50MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
It will also be equipped with another 50MP periscope telephoto camera with support for 10x optical zoom. The 13 Ultra will continue to house the same 32MP sensor inside the punch-hole in the display. Xiaomi will continue the partnership with Leica for the 13 Ultra smartphone. The device is said to be backed with a 4900 mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The 13 Ultra would run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.
