Motorola One Passes TENAA Certification; May Launch Soon Alongside Motorola One Power

There have been a few leaks in the past which had revealed two smartphones likely to be unveiled by Motorola soon. We received confirmation of the Motorola One Power’s existence a few days ago. Now we have a new leak which confirms the existence of a presumably lesser priced sibling for this smartphone.

Motorola One Spotted On TENAA Certification Site

A new Motorola handset with the model number XT1943-1 has passed TENAA certification in China. This smartphone is expected to be the Motorola One because a previously spotted TENNA listing (which was likely for the Motorola One Power) came with the model number XT1942-1.Motorola One TENAA leak

Unfortunately, the newly spotted certification listing for the Motorola One does not reveal the internal specifications like last time, and it is still uncertain how different the two smartphones will be. The only thing we can gather from the listing is that the phone offers “ dual-card dual-standby.” Considering the Motorola One Plus comes with a microSD card slot, the phrasing of this dual-SIM card support leads us to believe the Motorola One could come with dedicated dual-SIM + microSD card support.

Motorola One, Motorola One Power: Expected Specifications, Features

The previous leak regarding the Motorola One Power revealed that the smartphone would come with a 6.18-inch TFT LCD display with 2246×1080 pixels resolution. Powering the smartphone will be an octa-core 1.8GHz processor. The closest Qualcomm chipset to match this specification is the Snapdragon 636. As for RAM and storage, the phone is expected to come in three configurations. The first two models offer 3GB and 4GB of RAM respectively, along with 32GB of internal storage. There is a higher storage variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of memory. All models support microSD card expansion up to 128GB.

As for the software, both the Motorola One and Motorola One Power should certainly come with Android 8.1 Oreo. Both phones are expected to be the first Android Go smartphones from the company, meaning they would offer stock Android experiences.

A leaked rendering of the two smartphones obtained last month had confirmed that both the Motorola One and Motorola One Power would come with dual camera setups. The TENAA listing for the One Power confirms that the phone will offer a 16MP + 5MP setup at the rear while the front would hold an 8MP selfie shooter. As for connectivity, this phone would offer dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Powering this phone is an impressive 4850mAh capacity battery. This should even come with fast charging support just like other Motorola handsets released this year. Also revealed by the TENAA listing is the fact that this phone would be offered in four colour options – Black, White, Gold and Silver.

Motorola One, Motorola One Power: Expected Price in India

The leaked specifications of the Motorola One Power confirm that this will be a midrange device. We expect it to be priced somewhere around the Rs.24,000 mark whenever it makes its way to this country. As for the Motorola One, it is likely that this phone is a slightly underpowered variant of its sibling. Thus, it should come with a lower price tag. We expect this to be closer to the Rs 10,000 price point.
