LG Electronics has announced its second luxury smartphone, the LG Signature Edition, in Korea for 1,999,800 won ($1,787 USD or Rs 1,23,000 approx). The company said that the pre-orders for the phone will start from July 30 and it will be officially launched on August 30. Only 300 units of the device will be sold, according to LG. LG Signature Edition smartphone features a specially processed Zirconium Ceramic back which is claimed to retain its original elegance even when used for a long time as it is resistant to abrasion and corrosion. LG Signature Edition design, features and specifications: The second edition of the smartphone comes with a 6-inch OLED display. The smartphone sports bezels on the top and bottom, and has very thin bezels on the sides. There is a dual-camera system at the back along with an LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is placed just below the vertically stacked camera unit, followed by a Bang & Olufsen (B&O) branding. You can see the words “LG Signature Edition” written at the bottom of phone. There is a volume rocker on the left edge and a 3.5mm jack sits at the top. The LG Signature Edition has a QHD OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, 2880x1440 resolution and HDR 10 support. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offers 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB. As mentioned above, the smartphone comes with a dual-camera system at the back which includes two 16MP cameras. While the primary sensor has a f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide angle, the secondary cam sports with f/1.9 aperture and 107-degree wide-angle. The camera has AI capabilities which recommend the best picture quality. At the front, the LG Signature Edition comes with an 8MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree wide angle. The phone packs a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. The device runs on Android's latest Oreo operating system and supports LG Pay, a payment platform developed by LG that can be used on traditional credit card machines. The phone comes with a IP68 certification, and supports DTS: X 3D Surround Sound. The sound on the phone is tuned by Bang & Olufsen (B&O) and LG is offering 700,000 won (approx Rs 43,000) worth of B&O headphones, Beoplay H9i, bundled with the smartphone. LG Electronics has also deployed dedicated after-sales service consultants for people who buy the product. For those who want to make their phone stand out from the crowd, LG is providing an optional engraving service so that the customers can get their name engraved on the phone and as well as on the leather wallet provided with the smartphone.
