Honor X10 Gets TENAA Certification Ahead of the Launch, Key Specifications Tipped

Yesterday, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor officially confirmed the existence of its Honor X10 smartphone. Interestingly enough, the Honor X10 is the new name for the Honor 10X 5G smartphone. The company decided to make the change in the name to avoid any sort of confusion between the erstwhile Honor 10X and the Redmi 10X, which is allegedly going to launch soon. Today, we have been able to spot the Honor X10 smartphone on the Chinese TENAA certification authority website, which has given us some of its key specifications and features. Furthermore, noted tipster Digital Chat Station has also posted some more specifications of the device, which are not listed on the TENAA certification as of now. Take a look at the specifications of the Honor X10 and find out what the device has in store for us.

Starting with the display of the device, the Honor X10 will feature a 6.63-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The device will measure 163.7 x 76.5 x 8.8mm. Since the display is an IPS LCD panel, the Honor X10 will make room for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Though the images of the Honor X10 have not been made live on the certification website as of now, we are not entirely sure as to whether the device will come with a punch-hole display or not, but chances of that happening are very likely.

Under the hood, the Honor X10 will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 820 5G mobile platform. The RAM variants and the internal memory of the Honor X10 are not known as of now. As far as the battery of the device is concerned, the Honor X10 will be fueled by a 4,200mAh battery, which will have provision for up to 22.5W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. Coming to the OS, the Honor X10 will likely run the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house EMUI 10 skin baked on top of it.

As far as the pricing of the device is concerned, the Honor X series of smartphones has usually been cost-effective mid-range devices, so we can expect the Honor X10 to follow suit. That being said, the addition of 5G support will likely take the prices a bit higher in order to meet the hardware requirements. So far, the typical 5G mid-range smartphones are priced somewhere around CNY 2,000 in China, so we can expect the Honor X10 to be priced around the same.

As of now, this is pretty much all the intel that we have surrounding the upcoming Honor X10, but we are sure to receive more information on the same in the coming days. Whenever we do, we will keep you posted on the same.
