Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 later this year. If rumours are true, the next-generation foldable smartphone from Samsung will launch in July 2021. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the device have leaked. The latest development reveals the charging capabilities of the foldable phone. The Fold 3 was spotted on the 3C certification website. It reveals that the device will come with 25W fast charging support. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to launch in July 2021. Ahead of the launch, the foldable phone was spotted on the 3C certification website.
The 3C listing reveals the battery charging capabilities of the device. As per the listing, Fold 3 will have a 25W fast charging support. It is the same as last year’s Fold 2. Previously, the device was spotted on the 3C certification website as well. At that time, the listing revealed the device’s battery capacity details. As per the listing, the Fold3 will have a dual-cell battery setup. It will come with a 2060 mAh and a 2215 mAh battery. Together, the device will pack a 4,275 mAh cell. This is smaller than the Fold 2, which came with a 4,500 mAh battery.
The device was previously rumoured to come with a slightly smaller display as well. The foldable display on the Galaxy Fold 3 will be 7.5-inch diagonal, whereas the outer screen will remain 6.2-inch tall.
The foldable smartphone is also rumoured to feature an under-display camera (UDC). Samsung has been testing the UDC on the Z Fold 3. However, the inclusion of UDC is not confirmed yet due to logistical issues. If the company decides to go ahead with UDC, the Fold 3 will come with a 16MP front camera on the main display. It will also have a 12MP front camera on the cover display.
On the back would be a triple camera setup. It will have a 12MP + 12MP + 16MP camera sensor setup. It is also rumoured to come with S Pen support, which will be a hybrid between the S Pen found on the S21 Ultra and the Note 20 series.
