Moto G8 Power Lite with 5000mAh Battery, Helio P35 SoC, Triple Camera Launched: Price, Specifications

The year 2020 has been quite a busy one for Motorola. This year saw the company come up with a bunch of new handsets spread across a broad price spectrum. Some of the launches this year include the Moto Razr, the Moto G8, the Moto G8 Power, and the Moto G Stylus. The company seems to be in no mood to stop and, on April 2, announced the launch of another budget smartphone called the Moto G8 Power Lite. As evident from the naming scheme, the Moto G8 Power Lite is positioned below the existing Moto G Power. Let’s now quickly check out what the spec sheet of this phone looks like while also taking a quick look at its features.

Moto G8 Power Lite Specifications, Features

Lookswise, the Moto G8 Power Lite is quite similar to its sibling — the Moto G8 Power. The G8 Power Lite comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Users do get the option of adding a microSD card to augment the storage even further. The display used on the Moto G8 Power Lite happens to be an IPS LCD panel that measures 6.5-inches across with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.

The Moto G8 Power Lite gets a triple camera setup at the rear that consists of a 16MP primary camera with an f/2.0 lens, a secondary 2MP, F/2.4 macro camera, and another 2MP, f/2.4 depth sensor. At the front, the phone uses an 8MP fixed focus camera with an f/2.0 lens. The Moto G8 Power Lite – like its more expensive sibling comes with a massive 5,000mh battery. The phone gets a USB Type-C port but does not come with a fast charger and gets a standard 10W charger.

Like other Motorola devices, the Moto G8 Power Lite runs a near-stock version of Android. The phone runs Android 9 Pie at launch and should be updated to Android 10 soon.  The phone comes in two color options Royal Blue and Arctic Blue.

Moto G8 Power Lite Price, Availability

The Moto G8 Power Lite will be available in select countries across the globe soon. In Germany, the phone will be sold for a starting price of EUR 169. Motorola plans to bring the phone to other countries across Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australiasia as well. As of now, there is no word if this phone would make it to India.
