Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO is working on launching a new smartphone, dubbed the OPPO A12. The OPPO A12 has been popping up on the internet quite a lot lately. Not too long ago, we were able to spot the device on the Thai NBTC certification website, which confirmed its moniker. Plus, we were also able to spot the OPPO A12 on the Geekbench database website, which revealed some of its key specifications. Well, if the latest leak turns out to be legitimate, we certainly won’t have to dig too much intel surrounding the device, as it has almost all the specifications and the alleged live shot of the OPPO A12. Take a look at the leaked specifications and image of the OPPO A12 smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.
OPPO A12: Image and Key Specifications Leaked
The leak came courtesy of an exclusive report by Pricebaba. As seen in the alleged image of the OPPO A12, the device will feature a waterdrop notch at the top. At the back, the OPPO A12 will feature a dual rear camera setup, which will be aligned horizontally. Alongside the camera module, we can see a single LED flash. The OPPO A12 will also sport a physical fingerprint scanner, which will be rear-mounted. The rear of the device is seen featuring a diamond pattern.
As far as the specifications of the device are concerned, the OPPO A12 is said to sport a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch display. The device is tipped to measure 155.9 x 75.5 x 8.3mm and weigh in at 165 grams. Though we only have a Blue diamond-cut variant of the OPPO A12 as of now, we can certainly expect that the device will be launched in more color variants.

Under the hood, the OPPO A12 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, which will be paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage. We are not really sure as to whether or not the OPPO A12 will have scope for further expansion. On the software side of things, the OPPO A12 will ship with Android 9 Pie with the company’s very own ColorOS 6.1.2 skin baked on top of it.
As far as the battery of the device is concerned, the OPPO A12 will reportedly feature a 4,230mAh battery. Whether or not the OPPO A12 will come with support for fast charging is anyone’s guess as of now. However, given the fact that it will be a budget smartphone, we certainly cannot expect much from it when it comes to charging speeds.

For the photography enthusiasts out there, the OPPO A12 will sport a dual rear camera setup, which will include a 13MP primary lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, the OPPO A12 will flaunt a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
