Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi celebrated its Mi Fan Festival on April 3, 2020. During the event, the company launched its first ever fitness wearable under its Redmi sub-brand. Alongside that, the company also launched a new kids smartwatch, dubbed the Mi Kids Watch 4 and the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro. The Mi Kids Watch 4 features a 1.78-inch AMOLED display and comes with support for several watch faces. It has support for an eSIM and features 4G VoLTE calling through the majority of telecom operators in China. The Mi Kids Watch 4 also has a built-in GPS support. Mi Kids Watch 4 and Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro: Prices
The Mi Kids Watch 4 is priced at CNY 899 in China, which roughly translates to somewhere around $126. The Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro, on the other hand, will fetch you CNY 1,299 or around $183. Both watches come in blue and pink colors and will start selling in China from April 9, 2020.
Mi Kids Watch 4: Specifications and Features
The Mi Kids Watch 4 flaunts a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with 368 x 448 pixel resolution and 326 pixels per inch pixel density. The Mi Kids Watch 4 display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Mi Kids Watch 4 can be paired with Android devices running Android 4.2 or later and Apple devices running iOS 8 or later.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Mi Kids Watch 4 features a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The watch comes with features like activity and sleep tracking. It is swim proof up to 20m. Connectivity features of the watch include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS + BEIDOU, and NFC support. There is a speaker and a microphone integrated with the Mi Kids Watch 4, which lets the user make or receive phone calls.

Coming to the battery of the watch, the Mi Kids Watch 4 features a 920mAh battery, which, as claimed by the company, can last up to 8 days on a single charge.
Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro: Specifications and Features
Coming to the Pro version of the Mi Kids Watch 4, the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro sports the same 1.78-inch display with an AMOLED panel. Under the hood, the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 platform, which is paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of eMMC storage. As with the standard Mi Kids Watch 4, the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro is also compatible both with Android, as well as Apple devices.
The Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro offers a better camera experience, as it has an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture. The battery on the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro is the same – 920mAh, but will last up to 5 days on a single charge, as per the company. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE (via eSIM), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC.
For now, there is no word on the global launch of the Mi Kids Watch 4 and the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro, so we cannot really say for sure as to when we can expect these watches to arrive in the remaining markets.
