After companies like Nokia, Motorola, Realme, and OnePlus, Amazon is the latest brand to enter the smart TV segment in the country. Amazon, under its AmazonBasics range of products, has launched two Smart televisions. These AmazonBasics TVs are available in 50-inch and 55-inch screen sizes and have 4K UHD resolution. AmazonBasics Fire TV Edition: Price in India
Amazon has launched two variants for now. The 50-inch variant costs Rs. 29,999, while the 55-inch variant is priced at Rs. 34,999 in the country. These are already available for purchase on amazon.in. Amazon is also said to launch 32-inch HD, 43-inch FHD, and 43-inch 4K models in the future.

Starting things off with one of the most important components of a TV – display, both these TVs feature a 4K UHD resolution panel with 3840×2160 pixels and 178° viewing angle. Amazon says that these are A+ grade LED panels that are HDR 10 + HLG certified. These are also equipped with Dolby vision, Amlogic 9th Generation Imaging engine, dynamic contrast, dynamic backlight, advanced picture processing, and anti-aliasing. The company doesn’t mention the brightness of these panels but it says that these TVs have Ultra bright screen.
Under-the-hood, these TVs pack a 1.95GHz quad-core processor with Mali G31 MP2 GPU. These TVs have inbuilt 20 watts speaker with Dolby Atmos support. On the connectivity front, these have 3x HDMI 2.0 ports, 1x USB 3.0, and 1 USB 2.0 ports, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0. There is also an IR port to connect devices like Soundbars, Receivers, and Set-top boxes.
Coming to the software side, these run FireTV OS, which supports over 5,000 apps (from Fire OS store) including Prime Video, Netflix, Disney + Hotstar, YouTube. It also has support for display mirroring and has built-in Alexa and Alexa voice controls. The remote features hotkeys for Alexa, Prime Videos, Amazon Music, and Netflix.
