Users need to download the Signal app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and create an account. Users will need to register their phone number to successfully create an account on Signal.

Following are the steps to register a phone number on Signal:

Step 1) Download the Signal app in case you haven’t. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Step 2) Open the app and enter your phone number.

Step 3) Tap “Register”.

Step 4) Wait for the SMS verification code to arrive. You can also request for a certification call if you have not received an SMS. After the timer finishes counting down, tap Call or I didn’t get a code > Call me instead.

Step 5) Enter the verification code.

Step 6) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Signal registration process.
