Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite May Launch in India Soon, Passes BIS Certification

Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Watch in China a couple of months back. The smartwatch made its debut as Mi Watch Lite in global markets. Now, it looks like Xiaomi might launch the Mi Watch Lite soon in India, as it has cleared BIS certification. Popular Twitter user and leakster, Mukul Sharma spotted the product on the BIS certification website and shared the information on Twitter. The BIS certification hints that Mi Watch Lite might make it’s way soon to India. Let us have a look at Mi Watch Lite price, features, and specifications.

Mi Watch Lite Price in India (Expected)

The Redmi Watch retails for about RMB 269 (approx Rs. 3,029) in China. While the Mi Watch Lite costs about Rs. 3,400 in other markets like Thailand. Going by these, we can expect Mi Watch Lite to cost somewhere around 3000-3500 in the Indian market.

Mi Watch Lite Specifications and Features

The Mi Watch Lite features a 1.4-inch LED touch screen display with a rectangular dial. The display unit carries a 320×320 pixel resolution, a pixel density of 323 PPI, 60% NTSC color gamut, and can go as bright as 350 nits. The Mi Watch Lite is also water-resistant.

The Mi Watch Lite features a heart-rate sensor with 24-hour real-time heart rate monitoring. It also supports sleep monitoring and allows you to jump between music tracks right from your screen. Additionally, the Watch Lite also has Notification support. Coming to sports mode tracking, it has native support for 11 sports such as walking, trekking, running, treadmill, cycling, swimming, cricket, and more.

Talking about the battery life, Xiaomi promises up to 9 days of battery life on typical usage with the Mi Watch Lite. While, it might last up to 10 hours with continuous GPS use with its inbuilt 230mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 to connect the Watch with devices running Android 5.0 and above, and iOS 10.0 and above. The Mi Watch Lite also packs a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, Barometer (altimeter), and a Compass sensor. It also supports GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS.

The Mi Watch Lite measures 41x35x10.9mm and weighs 35g with the strap, while the weight without the strap comes down to 21g.
