Fitbit, a company known for making smartwatches and fitness trackers aimed at the fitness enthusiasts out there, has announced the Fitbit Charge 2 fitness tracker in India. The Fitbit Charge 4 will be available in India from April 2020, but the company has not announced an actual launch date for the tracker. Fitbit Charge 4: Price and Availability
The Fitbit Charge 4 is introduced in India at a price of Rs 14,999. For Rs 14,999, interested buyers will be able to book the Black, Rosewood, or the Storm Blue/Black color variant of the Fitbit Charge 4. There, however, is a Special Edition of the Fitbit Charge 4, which comes in a granite reflective/Black woven band and the same will be priced at Rs 16,999 in the country. Fitbit also announced new accessory bands and colors for the Fitbit Charge 4, which will start at Rs 2,999. These accessories will also be compatible with the Fitbit Charge 3. As mentioned earlier, an exact sale date for the Fitbit Charge 4 has not been announced yet.
Fitbit Charge 4: Specifications and Features
Coming to the specifications of the fitness tracker, the Fitbit Charge 4 features a built-in GPS. It also has Spotify integration as well. The company has rolled one new feature to its roster starting with the Fitbit Charge 4, dubbed Active Zone Minutes. This feature will later be made available to other Fitbit products as well.
Coming to the in-built GPS, the presence of the same ensures that one does not have to carry their phone when they are going outside for a jog or a run. The Fitbit Charge 4 also comes with GPS-enabled exercise modes, such as hiking, running, and walking. Upon finishing a GPS-enabled workout, the Fitbit Charge 4 can synchronise to show a GPS-powered heat map in the Fitbit app, where you can see the workout intensity based on different heart rate zones along the route taken.

Coming to the Active Zone Minutes feature, it is a new personalised standard Fitbit has come up with. It tracks any workout that the user does, ranging from indoor biking to yoga. During the workout period, the Active Zone Minutes feature measures the time a user spends in each heart rate zone. Users will earn credits for each minute of activity in the fat burn zone and two times the credits for workouts done in peak zones. If during a workout, the activity zone is changed, users will be provided with real-time alerts on the same.
Another first in the Fitbit Charge series of fitness bands is the smart wake feature. The Fitbit Charge 4 will be the first to receive this feature, as it has so far been limited to the Fitbit smartwatches. The smart wake feature utilizes machine learning to wake the user up at optimal times. The Fitbit Charge 4 also comes with Spotify built-in, which will let users play songs from the wires itself. The band comes with usual features like notification alerts for calls, texts, and apps. Furthermore, it supports quick replies when paired with an Android device.
