BSNL has recently launched a new promotional offer. The offer is extended exclusively to the telco’s postpaid and broadband customers. BSNL is offering a year’s worth of free Amazon Prime subscription. Only select broadband and mobile postpaid plan subscribers can avail this complimentary subscription offer. The new offer from BSNL is applicable from October 2018. Existing Amazon Prime customers cannot opt for this promotional offer.
Amazon Prime and BSNL
According to the BSNL website, BSNL has recently partnered with Amazon Prime. This partnership will offer the 1-Year free subscription to the largest etailer’s services. The offer is only for select subscribers of BSNL postpaid and broadband services. The free 1 Year subscription comes at no extra cost to the select BSNL users.
Amazon Prime Video annual subscription costs Rs.999. But select BSNL broadband and postpaid subscribers will not have to pay that cost. The Amazon Prime Video membership will be inclusive of their tariff plan as a promotional offer for a year.
BSNL Promotion Offer Eligibility
BSNL postpaid plans of Rs.399 and more and broadband plans of Rs.745 and more are eligible for the complimentary Amazon Prime yearly membership. The subscribers of BSNL Rs.399 postpaid plan or ones that are above the said denomination can avail the free Amazon Prime Video services for a year without any extra cost.
Same for the users of the Rs.745 broadband plan. They and other broadband plans above Rs.745 too can enjoy Amazon Prime membership for 1 year without paying anything extra.

Inclusions in the Complimentary Amazon Prime Subscription
The subscribers of Rs.399 and more of BSNL postpaid plans and users of Rs.745 and more broadband plans can now enjoy a full range of services for free with their Amazon Prime subscription.
Their free membership will include Prime Video that covers unlimited streaming of Amazon Prime Originals, TV shows, and latest Bollywood, Hollywood, and various regional language movies. Also included will be Prime Music that allows its users to listen to uninterrupted ad-free music for hours at end. The subscription also covers offline download of an unlimited number of songs cataloged in the rather large music portfolio teaming with several million tunes.
Also included in the free subscription of Amazon Prime is the fast and free delivery of products ordered from Amazon.in. The selected BSNL broadband and postpaid plan users can order anything from the millions of products offered on Amazon’s online store and be assured of speedy as well as free delivery of the product at their doorstep. The BSNL users will also be privy to Amazon deals ahead of everyone else.
How to Avail the Free Subscription of Amazon Prime
The first thing to do to become eligible for the complimentary Amazon Prime subscription is to upgrade the existing postpaid plan to Rs.399 or more and the current broadband plan to Rs.745 or more. After the upgrade has been in effect, the user needs to visit the state-owned telco’s payment portal at www.portal2.bsnl.in/myportal/. Once there the user has to click on the special offer banner citing BSNL-Amazon.
When prompted, the user needs to enter the BSNL’s eligible number details to generate an OTP. After the validation process has been successful a pop-up screen will appear on the screen. The BSNL subscriber then needs to select the ‘Activate’ tab.
Next screen will ask details for the user’s Amazon account. If the user doesn’t have an Amazon account he can create one then and there itself. This completes the registration process and also activates the free one year Amazon Prime membership for the select BSNL user. Existing Prime subscribers cannot avail this offer.
