It sports a huge 7.12-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2244 pixels Full HD+ resolution and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The 8X Max boasts an impressive 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the waterdrop style notch at the top. As we mentioned above, the more affordable versions of the Honor 8X Max are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, while the top-end version runs on a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor under the hood. The Snapdragon 636 version comes in two memory configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 660 version is only available in a single configuration with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phablet includes Hybrid Dual-SIM slots, making it possible for users to expand the storage further up to 256GB.

In the camera department, the Honor 8X Max features a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth-sensing. While the 16MP sensor is coupled with an f/2.0 aperture, the secondary 2MP sensor is paired with an f/2.4 aperture. The phablet sports an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. One of the main highlights of the Honor 8X Max is the large 5000mAh capacity battery that it packs under the hood. The phablet does come with fast charging support, so you will not have to wait very long for the huge battery to be fully charged. Some of the other key highlights of the Honor 8X Max include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound. In terms of software, the phablet runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box.
