Airtel Launches Rs.181 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Offers 3GB Daily Data With 14 Days Validity

Airtel has launched a new prepaid recharge plan priced ar Rs. 181 that comes with a unique set of benefits and does not directly counter any current prepaid recharge plan in its price segment. Let’s check out what the latest prepaid recharge plan from the telecom operator has to offer.

Airtel Rs.181 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Details

The Airtel Rs. 181 prepaid recharge plan will offer a total of 42GB of 2G/3G/4G data. The daily limit on the data is 3GB. Furthermore, the plan also offers unlimited local, STD and national roaming voice calling benefits with no FUP constraints along with 100 SMS per day. The plan holds a validity of 14 days.

With the latest prepaid recharge plan, Airtel is aiming to attract users with heavy adat needs. The plan is unique as no other telecom operator is offering 3GB data under Rs. 200, as of now. However, BSNL and Jio once offered this much data under Rs. 200, but the plans were only promotional and did not last for long. To recall, Reliance Jio rolled out a Rs. 149 prepaid plan back in June that offered 3GB data per day. The recharge plan was a one-time thing, bearing a validity of 15 days. But the prepaid recharge plan from Airtel is launched as an open market offer. Also, not that the plan has been launched in select Northern circles only.

The Rs. 181 plan from Airtel does not come with a great validity period as well, but the offers under the plan are overwhelming. Airtel has brought down the effective price of per GB data to Rs 4.3 with this plan.

Airtel Vs Jio: Prepaid Recharge Plan Under Rs. 200

Reliance Jio has a prepaid recharge plan worth Rs. 198 prepaid plan that offers 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calling benefits with no FUP limit along with 100 SMS per day. The plan holds a validity of 28 days. In comparison, the Airtel Rs. 181 prepaid recharge plan offers 3GB data per day which is a lucrative choice. However,  the validity of Airtel’s prepaid recharge plan is only 14 days from the date of recharge, which is half the validity of Jio’s plan. Also, Jio is offering a total of 56GB as compared to a total of 42GB under Airtel’s Rs. 181 recharge plan.

BSNL also rolled out a prepaid recharge plan that offers additional 2.2GB daily per day on top of select prepaid recharge plans. The plan priced at Rs. 187 along with the top-up plan offers a total of 3.2GB daily data, unlimited voice calling benefits along with 100 SMS per day.

Other Plans From Airtel

Airtel has been quite active with its prepaid recharge plans lately. Despite the cluttered tariff portfolio in the prepaid recharge domain, Airtel has been rolling out plans every now and then. In the past few weeks, the telecom operator has rolled out plans like has rolled out several mid-range plans worth Rs 168, Rs 289, Rs 97, and a high-end plan worth Rs 419. The telecom operator has also launched several Smart Recharge plans priced at Rs 25, Rs 35, Rs 65, Rs 95, Rs 145 and Rs 245. However, most of these plans are circle-specific and hold a shorter validation period as compared to the plans from Reliance Jio.

Although Reliance Jio has several lucrative prepaid recharge plans that offer unlimited data at lower prices, Airtel continues to hold a larger share in the subscribers base. With JioGigaFiber rolling out, Reliance Jio is expecting to establish dominance in the broadband service sector.
